Mick Jagger has teased fans about his comedic skills before hosting “Saturday Night Live” season finale. The rocker appears in a promo for the upcoming episode alongside Kristen Wiig, who reveals that the British star has taught her a lot about music.

Her praise soon turns into foulmouthed thanks as the regular cast member continues revealing, “And you taught me so much about using drugs. I mean, so many drugs. And I also learned so much about sex.” In another scene, the frontman of The Rolling Stones shows the “Bridesmaids” star a rocker magic, but he’s disappointed that she wastes it.
“SNL” featuring Jagger will air Saturday, May 19 at 11:30 P.M. ET on NBC. Foo Fighters, Jeff Beck and Arcade Fire will serve as musical guests. Jagger’s bandmate Keith Richards was rumored to appear in the said outing, but the guitarist has stated that it’s not happening.
Being an object of a parody on “Saturday Night Live“, the Tanning Mom Patricia Krentcil has nothing but good words for the sketch. The New Jersey mother has given an approval to Kristen Wiig’s impersonation of her in Weekend Update segment as saying, “It was well done… the whole thing was hysterical,” when asked by New York Post about the performance.

Krentcil, however, was seemingly left wondering at how much attention she’s got due to her tan obsession and her case. “If you think about it for a second, Iraq and Cuba we’re involved in now,” she said, “but they care that I tan.”
In a May 5 episode of “SNL”, Wiig drew a chuckle by appearing as the Tanning Mom who responded to the controversy involving her daughter. Denying the allegations, she told Seth Meyers, “Tanning beds should only be used by responsible adults because you may not know this, Seth, but some people overtan.”
Wiig’s Krentcil also explained her statement that those who criticize her are “fat, ugly and jealous”, claiming, “I am alluring in a way they will never be.” She went on saying she has the look every woman dreams of: “Wile E. Coyote right after something’s blown up in his face.”
Also drawing attention was a drama behind the scenes of “SNL”. Billed as a musical guest, Rihanna reportedly angered the producers for not showing up at dress rehearsal, which was done live in front of a studio audience right before the actual show.
A representative for the “S&M” hitmaker told TMZ, “Rihanna was sick and needed to save her voice for the live show.” Sources further disclosed that a doctor visited Riri in the dressing room and gave her a shot of penicillin before the show, but other sources said that the 24-year-old didn’t appear sick enough to have missed the dress rehearsal.
Being accused of taking a 6-year-old daughter into a tanning bed is not a gracious thing, but “Saturday Night Live” has managed to draw a chuckle with the controversy. In the latest edition of the NBC variety show, Kristen Wiig channeled the “tanning mom” Patricia Krentcil and appeared in Weekend Update with Seth Meyers to respond to the allegations.

“Tanning beds should only be used by responsible adults because you may not know this, Seth, but some people overtan,” she said in the sketch. Believing she is not overtan, she explained her statement that those who criticize her are “fat, ugly and jealous”. “Though I can’t blame them for being jealous. I am alluring in a way they will never be,” so she claimed.
Meyers didn’t agree with her last statement and guessed her age to be 200. He additionally said that she looks like a baseball glove. Wiig’s Krentcil, who frequently wheezed from dehydration throughout the sketch and blamed it on the dry air in the studio, went on saying she has the look every woman dreams of, which is “Wile E. Coyote right after something’s blown up in his face.”
Also this weekend, Wiig grabbed the headlines for wrestling with her “Bridesmaids” co-writer Annie Mumolo on the stage of the 2012 Comedy Awards, which premiered on Sunday, May 6 night. Taking the mic to deliver their speech as the recipient of Best Screenplay award, they fought over who would get custody of the statue.
“Saturday Night Live” musical guest, Gotye, was in one of the highlighted sketches. The show’s regulars Andy Samberg and Taran Killam played the musician’s die hard fans who would go far in showing their love of him.

Andy and Taran introduced themselves inside Goyte’s room, but things got creepy when the pair refused to leave. When finally Gotye was able to drive them away, the duo returned from behind him fully naked. They recited the painted bodies in Gotye’s music video of “Somebody I Used to Know“. Andy said, “We’re like you. Get it?” Goyte responded, “It’s weird, guys.”
For his actual performance, Gotye did not appear au naturel. He brought New Zealand singer Kimbra, who is featured in the recorded version of “Somebody I Used to Know”, to assist him in the song. He also played “Eyes Wide Open” as his second set.
Kristen Wiig has spoken up about the reports that she will leave “Saturday Night Live” when it wraps the current season. “I don’t know,” she replied when asked by Alec Baldwin during his morning podcast “Here’s the Thing”, about her rumored impending departure.

Admitting that her contract expires this season, the Vicki St. Elmo of “MacGruber” coyly said, “Well, everyone has to leave.” She added, “I will say that when I do leave it’s not because I’m sick of it and not because I see something better or anything like that. I will say that when I do leave it’s not because I’m sick of it and not because I see something better or anything like that. It’s just that it’s time.”
While she claimed she’s still unsure about her future on the NBC variety show, the 38-year-old actress knows for sure that waving goodbye to the show and its crew will make her sad. “When I do leave, it will be the hardest thing,” she admitted. “I mean, you know. You’re there for a week and on Saturday night you’re sad because you leave these people.”
“Being surrounded by creative people and knowing that you’re all in it together, and you’re putting on a show, you’re all pushing this huge boulder together – every Saturday you do something that you’re scared to do – I think I will miss that feeling.”
Wiig isn’t the only regular cast member of “SNL” which was rumored to quit the show. Earlier this month, Us Weekly reported that Andy Samberg and Jason Sudeikis will also bid farewell to the show at the end of the season.
However, a spokesperson for “SNL” debunked the story and insisted, “No decisions have been made and won’t be until the end of the summer.”
“Saturday Night Live” is anticipating the shortage of female cast by hiring Kate McKinnon. She may be a fresh face on the sketch show but McKinnon has starred in the first three seasons of Rosie O’Donnell-produced “Big Gay Sketch Show” on Logo.

According to Deadline, McKinnon is expected to make her first “SNL” appearance as early as next weekend when Sofia Vergara is hosting. If she successfully brings the funny to “SNL”, then McKinnon would be the show’s first openly gay performer since Terry Sweeney was cast in 1985-1986. She would also be the show’s first lesbian since the late Danitra Vance was cast in 1985.
McKinnon is brought in reportedly because the show could be losing one of its female veterans. Executive producer Lorne Michaels expects Kristen Wiig to make a decision this summer whether she would stay or move on. Wiig’s contract is up at the end of the season. Michaels is reportedly also trying out other ladies.
Though most critics panned Lindsay Lohan’s performance in the latest episode of “Saturday Night Live“, she at least got Zooey Deschanel backing her up. Met recently at PaleyFest, the Jessica Day of “New Girl” even praised her fellow “SNL” host.

“It’s so hard. And can I say something? I thought she did a really good job; everyone reads off cue cards,” the She & Him member said in defense of Lohan’s hosting gig. “There were some people saying ‘She read off cue cards!’ Everyone – the cast members, the host – everyone reads off cue cards. That’s how it’s done, because they change the script right before, so you have to read off cue cards.”
Deschanel went on talking about her own experience when hosting a February 11 episode of “SNL” as saying, “It’s a very hard thing to do.” Still, she enjoyed it and called it “very fun – one of the best weeks of my life.”
“It was a lot of rehearsal, a lot of work leading up to it, and it’s difficult,” the 32-year-old actress/singer continued sharing. “Live performances are its own thing, but it’s a wonderful thing. It takes a lot of energy.”
In another news, Tina Fey’s representative has explained why the “30 Rock” star skipped the “SNL” episode hosted by Lohan. “Tina was committed to doing the monologue with Lindsay but both of her children got sick. She was unable to participate as planned,” the rep stated.
Previously, Fey’s absence from the latest edition of the NBC variety show sparked rumors that she skipped the show to avoid working with Lohan, her “Mean Girls” co-star.
Despite criticisms over her “Saturday Night Live” performance, Lindsay Lohan delivered big ratings for the show. The March 3 edition hosted by the “Labor Pains” starlet drew a 5.5 overnight household rating.

It marked the show’s highest-scoring regular performance of the season. It only placed behind a January 7 episode hosted by Charles Barkley, which was boosted by a primetime NFL Wild Card playoff game earlier in the evening.
Lohan poked fun at her personal troubles in the latest episode of “SNL”, which marked the fourth time she’s hosting the show. Jon Hamm and Jimmy Fallon made cameos, while Jack White served as the musical guest.
Though she was criticized for her bad acting and for stumbling through her lines, 25-year-old Lohan reportedly felt that she was doing a great job on the NBC variety series. Still, she understood that it was not a perfect show.
To promote her upcoming hosting gig on “Saturday Night Live“, Lindsay Lohan tagged along Kenan Thompson who said that he is glad she is back on the show for the fourth time. “Oh thanks,” she told him, “but I never left the show, I’ve been living in the studio.”
In another promo spot, the troubled actress told Thompson, “People have probably been wondering what I’ve been up to.” He replied, “It’s unfortunate that everyone’s paid so little attention to you over the last few years.”
She responded, “I know, if only magazines and websites could’ve documented my activities more closely.” He added, “I would have liked to know more about your personal life and what sort of things you’ve been mixed up in.” And she said with a straight face, “Definitely, America could’ve used more information about me, and maybe even a picture or two.”
Lohan will be hosting the show this week with Jack White as musical guest. She has reportedly told the writers that she is game for everything and nothing is off limits, including her involvement with the law in the past years.
She also told Matt Lauer in an interview that she plans to use this “SNL” gig to relaunch her career. “People can say things all they want, but I think I still need to go through the process of proving myself, you know, with SNL, being on time, being, you know, keeping my — can’t say the word, but — stuff together,” she said.
Lindsay Lohan is set to make her on-screen return with “Saturday Night Live“. The Diane Howser of “Bobby” has been tapped to host the NBC variety show for the fourth time in a March, 3 episode, during which Jack White will serve as a musical performer.

The news was first announced with an on-air promo during the Saturday, February 18 episode hosted by Maya Rudolph. It was later confirmed with a message posted on “SNL” official Twitter handle read, “That’s right: March 3rd, @lindsaylohan with musical guest Jack White!! See you then!”
Lohan’s publicist Steve Honig has also confirmed the gig. The 25-year-old actress/singer herself has taken to her Twitter page to express her excitement of returning to the show by writing, “SNL! I love @NBC !!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Lohan has been absent from screen for months since she is on probation for driving under the influence and shoplifting. She recently grabbed headlines for posing nude for Playboy magazine’s December issue.
